VOLUNTEER & DONATE

The Hinckley Historical Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization that is supported by its members, donors, and volunteers.  You are invited to become a member of the Society, contribute to the museum collection, volunteer to assist with visitors, and participate in our campaign to preserve the historic post office and Hinckley Review Building that is now the museum.

The Hinckley Historical Society is comprised of Hinckley area residents, former residents, organizations, and friends who want to help preserve the history of our community.  You are invited to become involved:  Members help guide the group and receive a quarterly newsletter of local remembrances and stories as well as discounts for purchases at the museum.

Share your unwanted treasures.  Artifacts, documents, pictures, tools, and other items are welcome to be donated or loaned to the museum.  Such items are critical to documenting the history of the area.  Our limited space offers a sampling of home life in earlier days, dioramas, history of organizations, school classes, churches and much more.

Become a volunteer. We need helpers to greet visitors to the museum during our Saturday hours (10-3), assist in cataloging the collection, and share stories about the Hinckley area with visitors.  You can determine the hours you would like to help.  Volunteers are an integral part of keeping our history alive, fun and interesting.

This past year, the HHS has totally renovated the museum space by doubling its size, adding new exhibits and technology. We are excited for the completion and we will host a Grand Re-Opening early Spring 2023! Watch for details!!! Also in 2022, we were able to host 3 concerts on the lawn thanks to a grant from the Wurlitzer Foundation. So many great and exciting things are coming — and we hope you will join us!!!
